Procedure
A mixture of 4-[3-(5-chloro-2-thienyl)-1-isopropyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]-2-(methylsulfonyl)pyrimidine (1 eq, 5.2 mmol) in 25 mL benzylamine was stirred overnight at room temperature. The solvent was evaporated and the residue was diluted in dichloromethane and washed three times with HCl 1M. The organic layer was then dried over MgSO4 and evaporated to afford 2.3 g of N-benzyl-4-[3-(5-chloro-2-thienyl)-1-isopropyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]pyrimidin-2-amine (96% yield).
