Procedure

A suspension of 59 (4.6 g, 0.016 mol), EtOH (150 ml) and 10% Pd/C (1.5 g) was hydrogenated on a Parr shaker at 60.5 psi. After shaking overnight, the suspension was filtered under N2 through super cel. The solution was concentrated to dryness to Yield 3.2 g (100%) of 60; m.p. 191°-2° C. (CH3CN).
