Reaction Steps

To a stirred solution trans-3-[(4-cyclobutyl-1,4-diazepan-1-yl)carbonyl]cyclobutyl acetate (50 mg, 0.17 mmol) in 5:1 THF/H2O (93 ml) at RT was added LiOH.H2O (8.5 mg, 0.2 mmol). The mixture was stirred at RT overnight, diluted with H2O and extracted with DCM. The organic layer was then dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated at reduced pressure to yield the title compound as pale yellow oil (40 mg, 93%).
