1-[(4-cyclobutyl-1,4-diazepan-1-yl)carbonyl]azetidin-3-yl methanesulfonate (200 mg, 0.61 mmol) was dissolved in DMSO (4 ml) and sodium azide (157 mg, 2.41 mmol) was added. The reaction was heated at 80° C. for 48 hours and then diluted with DCM (30 ml) and washed with water (10 ml), dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated at reduced pressure giving a yellow solid (140 mg, 83%), which was used directly in the next step.
