To a solution of compound 5-2 (110 mg, 0.2 mmol) in CHCl3 (5 mL) was added NBS (40 mg 0.22 mmol.) and the mixture was heated to reflux for 1 hrs. After cooling, the mixture was diluted with 15 mL of DCM, the combined organic phase was washed with 0.1N HClaq and brine, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue was purified by prep.TLC to give 71 mg of 5-4.
