Reaction Steps

0.28 ml (2.52 mmol) of benzylamine is added to a solution of 150 mg (0.50 mmol) of 4′-nitrobiphenyl-4-sulfonyl chloride in 2.0 ml of DMF. After 18 h at room temperature, 2.5 ml of water are added to the reaction mixture. The resulting precipitate is filtered off with suction and dried under high vacuum. 159 mg (74.4% of theory) of the title compound are obtained and reacted further without further purification. LC-MS (Method 3): Rt=3.83 min.; m/z=369 (M+H)+.
