Reaction Steps
The compound (430 mg, 1.30 mmol) obtained in item (1) of this Example was dissolved in ethanol (4 ml), followed by addition of a hot ethanol solution (5 ml) of fumaric acid (151 mg, 1.30 mmol). The solution was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was dissolved in acetone and allowed to stand overnight. After ice-cooling of the mixture, precipitated crystals were collected by filtration. The crystals were washed three times with acetone to obtain 491 mg of the intended compound as white crystals (yield: 85%).
