This compound was prepared from ethyl 4-hydroxy-2-oxo-7-(phenylmethyl)-1,2-dihydro-1,5-naphthyridine-3-carboxylate and phenethylamine employing methods similar to those described in Example 2 and was obtained as a white solid: 1H NMR (d6-DMSO) δ 11.90 (1H, br), 10.65 (1H br), 8.30 (1H, br), 7.37-7.22 (1H, m), 4.04 (2H, br s), 3.53 (2H, m, J˜5 Hz), 2.83 (2H, t, J=7 Hz); Anal. Calcd for C24H21N3O3.0.25 CH2Cl2: C, 69.45; H, 5.12; N, 9.92. Found: C, 69.40; H, 4.92; N, 10.11.
