This compound was prepared from ethyl 3-amino-5-[(4-fluorophenyl)methyl]-2-pyridinecarboxylate and glyoxylic acid monohydrate employing methods similar to those described in Example 11, Step 1 and was obtained as a white solid: 1H NMR (d6-DMSO) δ 13.1 (1H, br), 7.91 (1H, t, J=5 Hz), 7.78 (1H, d, J=1 Hz), 7.29 (2H, dd, J=9, 6 Hz), 7.09 (1H, t, J=9 Hz), 7.02 (1H, s), 4.25 (2H, q, J=7 Hz), 3.92 (2H, d, J=5 Hz), 3.90 (2H, s), 1.27 (3H, t, J=7 Hz); ES+ MS: 333 (M+1).
