Benzyl 7-[[(7R)-8-cyclopentyl-7-ethyl-5-methyl-6-oxo-7H-pteridin-2-yl]amino]-2-(dimethylaminomethyl)-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-4-carboxylate 29h (120 mg, 0.20 mmol) was dissolved in 20 mL of methanol followed by the addition of palladium/carbon (12 mg, 10%). The reaction solution was stirred for 12 hours and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain the title compound 7-[[(7R)-8-cyclopentyl-7-ethyl-5-methyl-6-oxo-7H-pteridin-2-yl]amino]-2-(dimethylaminomethyl)-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-4-carboxylic acid 29j (30 mg, yield: 25.8%) as a white solid.
