Reaction Steps
Starting from 5-(1-hydroxy-9-octadecenylidene)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4,6-dione (18 g) and tert-butyl alcohol (200 ml), tert-butyl 3-oxo-11-eicosenoate (13 g) was obtained as an oil according to a similar manner to that of Preparation A-2 (2).
