Procedure
A solution of sodium hydroxide (2 N, 10 mL) was added dropwise to a suspension of methyl 3-[5-(4-Fluoro-phenyl)-3-methyl-3H-[1,2,3]triazol-4-ylmethoxy]-isoxazole-5-carboxylate (460 mg, 1.38 mmol) in dioxane (20 mL) and the reaction mixture was then heated at 90° C. for 1.5 h. The reaction mixture was then evaporated and acidified with HCl (2N), and the resulting precipitate filtered off to afford the title product (320 mg, 73%) as a white solid and used directly in the next step.
