Reaction Steps
To a solution of EXAMPLE 44A (4 g) in THF (500 mL) and ethanol (500 mL) was added 50% Raney nickel in water (2 g). The reaction mixture was stirred under hydrogen (balloon) for 6 hours and filtered.
