To a solution of di-tert-butyl (2-fluoro-5-nitrophenyl)imidodicarbonate (256 mg, 0.718 mmol) in methanol (10 mL) was added 10% palladium-carbon (50 mg), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight under a hydrogen atmosphere. The insoluble material was filtered off through celite, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (150 mg, 64%).
