N-[2-((3S)-3-{[4-Hydroxy-4-(5-pyrazin-2-ylpyridin-2-yl)cyclohexyl]amino}pyrrolidin-1-yl)-2-oxoethyl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzamide (29.0 mg, 0.051 mmol) and 37% aqueous formaldehyde (21 uL, 0.26 mmol) were dissolved in THF (1.0 mL). The mixture was evaporated to dryness. Then the residue was taken up in THF (1 mL) and sodium triacetoxyborohydride (24 mg, 0.11 mmol) was added. After being stirred at room temperature overnight, the mixture was purified by HPLC to provide the title compound (5.9 mg). MS (M+H) 583.3.
