Reaction Steps
Triethylamine (41 μL, 0.30 mmol) and methanesulfonyl chloride (21 μL, 0.27 mmol) were added to a solution of 4-{2-amino-6-[(2R,5R)-2-(aminomethyl)-5-methyl-4-morpholinyl]-4-pyrimidinyl}-2-fluorobenzonitrile (85 mg, 0.25 mmol) in THF (3 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature under nitrogen for 30 minutes. The mixture was quenched with saturated aqueous NaHCO3 (10 mL) and extracted with EtOAc (2×10 mL). The extracts were washed with brine (15 mL), dried (Na2SO4), filtered, and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound (108 mg, about 90% pure) as a yellow solid. LC-MS (ES) m/z=421 [M+H]+.
