A solution of 2-imino-3-pentyl-1,2,3,7-tetrahydro-6h-purin-6-one (750 mg, 3.39 mmol) and 18 m of hydrazine in water (30 ml) was stirred at 150° C. for 30 min on a microwave reactor. The reaction was diluted with water and extracted with ethyl acetate three times, dried with sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo to yield the crude product for next step without further purification. LCMS calculated for C10H17N6O (M+H): 237.1. Found: 237.2.
