Reaction Steps

A solution of hydrochloric acid in the 2N ether (904 μl, 2 eq.) is added dropwise at 23° C. to a solution of Example 43a (639 mg, 0.904 mmole) in anhydrous ether (35 ml). Stirring is maintained for 15 hours at 23° C. then the reaction mixture is concentrated to dryness under vacuum having been taken up twice with ether (2×20 ml) then twice with isopentane (2×20 ml). The evaporation residue is dried under vacuum at 55° C. The expected compound is obtained in the form of a beige-coloured powder with a yield of 93% (624 mg).
