2-Allyl-1,3-dioxoisoindoline-5-carboxylic acid was then coupled with Intermediate 1 using the general methods described above for the amide coupling reaction (Table 2) to provide the title compound, (S)-2-methyl-1,3-dioxo-N-((4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)(3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl)methyl)isoindoline-5-carboxamide as a white solid. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 8.95 (d, J=4.7 Hz, 1H), 8.44 (d, J=7.5 Hz, 1H), 8.31-8.20 (m, 2H), 8.08 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 7.93 (d, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 7.65-7.42 (m, 5H), 6.88 (d, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 3.22 (s, 3H). MS (ESI pos. ion) m/z: 508.1 (M+H).
