1.0 g of S-phenyl (7-isopropoxycarbonyl-2,3,5,6-tetrahydropyrrolo[2,1-b]thiazol-3-ylidene)thioacetate and 1.2 g of piperidine were suspended in 40 ml of tetrahydrofuran and 740 mg of silver trifluoroacetate was added thereto under stirring at room temperature. After 2 hours, the insoluble matters were filtered off and the filtrate was concentrated. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography and recrystallized from ethanol. Thus 0.65 g of the title compound was obtained.
