Reaction Steps

Using the procedure described in Example 5, 2-bromomethylnaphthalene was reacted with 4-bromo-2-methoxyphenol to give 3-methoxy-4-(naphth-2-ylmethoxy)bromobenzene (62%), m.p. 108° C.
