Reaction Steps
Crude material methyl 5-(benzoyloxy)-2-[4-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-2-methylpiperazin-2-yl]-6-hydroxypyrimidine-4-carboxylate (C-44) obtained in step 1 was dissolved in MeOH, and NaCNBH3 (2.8 eq), AcONa (3.2 eq) and HCHO (37% in H2O, 4 eq) were added. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature. After 30′, the solvent was evaporated and the crude solid (C-45) obtained washed with Et2O.
