Procedure
4-Methoxy-1-(2-propylsulfanyl-pyrimidin-4-yl)-1H-indazole was dissolved in methylene chloride (100 mL), and the mixture was cooled to −78° C. and stirred. BBR3 (152.62 uL) was added, and the mixture was allowed to stir overnight at room temperature. The mixture was partitioned between water and methylene chloride, and the combined organic layers were washed with water, saturated aqueous NaHCO3 and brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to give 1-(2-propylsulfanyl-pyrimidin-4-yl)-1H-indazol-4-ol.
