The title compound is prepared from methyl 2-((S)-6-((R)-4-(4-(2,5-dihydrofuran-3-yl)-2,6-dimethylphenyl)-7-fluoro-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-yloxy)-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-3-yl)acetate following a procedure analogous to that described in Step 2 of Intermediate 30 using NaOH instead of LiOH×H2O. LC (method 9): tR=0.16 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=501 [M+H]+.
