The title compound is prepared from 5-bromo-2-chloro-1,3-dimethyl-benzene and 1-methyl-4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-imidazole following a procedure analogous to that described in Step 1 of Intermediate 56.
