Acetyl chloride (2.75 g) is mixed with acetonitrile (70 ml), and the mixture is cooled to 0° C. Then, potassium thiocyanate (3.75 g) is added thereto, and the mixture is stirred at room temperature for 6 hours. After cooling to 0° C. again, 3-trifluoromethyl-N-propargylaniline (7 g) is added thereto, and the mixture is stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. After the solvent is distilled off under reduced pressure, the residue is extracted with ethyl acetate (300 ml), and the extract is washed with water. The solvent is distilled off to give N-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-N-propargyl-N'-acetylthiourea as crystallines (8 g). This identification is achieved by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR).
