A mixture of 2-(1-bromo-ethyl)-3-propyl-3H-quinazolin-4-one (30 mg, 0.1 mmol) and 1-(4-bromo-benzenesulfonyl)-piperazine (47 mg, 0.15 mmol) in ethanol (1 mL) was refluxed overnight. The reaction mixture was then concentrated in vacuo and purified by reverse phase HPLC to yield the product as a white powder (7 mg, 9%). 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 1.03 (t, 3H, J=5.8 Hz), 1.72 (sex, 2H, J=6.0), 1.80 (d, 3H, J=5.2), 3.48 (m, 6H), 3.90 (m, 3H), 4.23 (m, 1H), 4.77 (q, 1H, J=5.2 Hz), 7.58 (m, 3H), 7.68 (d, 1H, J=6.5 Hz), 7.72 (d, 2H, J=7.1 Hz), 7.81 (t, 1H, J=6.2 Hz), 8.28 (d, 1H, J=6.5 Hz).
