(2S,3S,4R,5R)-5-[2-((R)-3-Amino-pyrrolidin-1-yl)-6-(2,2-diphenyl-ethylamino)-purin-9-yl]-3,4-dihydroxy-tetrahydro-furan-2-carboxylic acid ethylamide trifluoroacetate (Intermediate E) and (3-Hydroxy-benzyl)-carbamic acid phenyl ester (Intermediate UA) are dissolved in methanol and TEA. The reaction mixture is heated using microwave radiation at 100° C. for 30 minutes in the Personal Chemistry Emrys™ Optimizer microwave reactor. The reaction mixture is concentrated in vacuo and purified by C-18 reverse phase column chromatography eluting with acetonitrile:water (0.1% TFA) (gradient 0-100% acetonitrile) to afford the titled compound.
