1,4-Dioxane HCl (10 ml) was added to 1-(benzothiazol-6-yl)-3-(1-((2-(trimethylsilyl)-ethoxy)methyl)-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-5-yl)imidazolidin-2-one (I-187b: 0.07 g, 0.19 mmol) and the resulting mixture was heated to 110° C. for 2 days. The reaction was monitored by TLC (20% MeOH in CHCl3). The reaction mixture was basified with Na2CO3 solution (pH˜8), cooled to room temperature, concentrated and the concentrate was washed with diethyl ether. Purification by preparative HPLC afforded 1.7 mg of the product (25.6% yield).
