Following the procedure as described in EXAMPLE 2 and making non-critical variations using 6-[1-(diphenylmethyl)-2-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-3-yl]-7-hydroxy-4-methyl-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3(4H)-one to replace 1-(diphenylmethyl)-3-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)-1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one, 1′-(diphenylmethyl)-1-methyl-1H-spiro[furo[3,2-g][1,4]benzoxazine-8,3′-indole]-2,2′(1′H,3H)-dione was obtained (32%) as a colorless solid: 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ7.47-7.23 (m, 11H), 7.19-7.10 (m, 1H), 7.07-6.98 (m, 1H), 6.88 (s, 1H), 6.72 (s, 1H), 6.64 (d, J=7.9 Hz, 1H), 6.20 (s, 1H), 4.93 (d, J=9.4 Hz, 1H), 4.82 (d, J=9.4 Hz, 1H), 4.57 (s, 2H), 3.01 (s, 3H); MS (ES+) m/z 489.0 (M+1).
