In analogy to Example 1, step 4, 6-[2-(3-chloro-4′-fluoro-3′-methoxy-biphenyl-4-yl)-1-hydroxy-1-trifluoromethyl-propyl]-8-fluoro-4-methyl-4H-benzo[1,4]oxazin-3-one was reacted with BBr3 to give the title compound as a light yellow oil. MS (m/e, ISP neg. ion)=526.2 [M−H+].
