Reaction Steps
Copper(II)acetate (657 mg), 3-fluoro-4-methoxycarbonylphenylboronic acid (CAS Reg. 505083-04-5, 716 mg), and pyridine (0.3 ml) were added to a solution of 5-[2-(2-chloro-4-hydroxy-phenyl)-1-hydroxy-1-trifluoromethyl-propyl]-1,3-dimethyl-1,3-dihydro-benzoimidazol-2-one (Example 85, 500 mg) in DCM (20 ml). The mixture was stirred with molecular sieves under air atmosphere for 4 days and then concentrated to an oil. The residue was purified by flash chromatography (SiO2, 2:1 EtOAc/heptane) to give the title compound (400 mg) as a light yellow oil. MS (m/e)=567.1 [M+H+].
