In analogy to Example 1, step 4, 4-[2-(2-chloro-4-methoxy-phenyl)-1-hydroxy-1-trifluoromethyl-propyl]-2,6-dimethyl-benzonitrile was reacted with BBr3 to give the title compound as a colorless foam. MS (m/e, ISP neg. ion)=382.1 [M−H+].
