Reaction Steps
Into a round bottom flask, was added 5-cyclopentyloxy-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine (P-0001, 0.110 g, 0.544 mol, prepared as describes in Example 12), 1-(propane-1-sulfonyl)-1H-indole-6-carbaldehyde (60, 0.169 g, 0.674 mol), potassium hydroxide (91.6 mg, 1.63 mol) and methanol (2 mL, 0.05 mol). The reaction was allowed to stir at room temperature overnight. The reaction was poured into water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated and purified by silica gel column chromatography eluting with a gradient of ethyl acetate (with 4% acetic acid) in hexanes to provide 88 mg of the desired compound. MS (EST) [M+H+]+=454.2.
