tert-Butyl 8-(pyridin-4-yl)-2,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-2-carboxylate (5.671 mmol, 1 equiv.) was placed in ethanol p.a. (20 ml). Acetyl chloride (28.355 mmol, 3 equiv.) was then added at 0° C., and the resulting mixture was stirred for 16 hours at 25° C. The solvent was concentrated in vacuo and the residue was dried under a high vacuum to yield the desired product. Yield: 1.48 g (90%)
