2,2-dimethyl-5-(6-(4-(pentyloxy)phenoxy)naphthalen-2-yl)-1,3-dioxan-5-amine was synthesized as per 2,2-dimethyl-5-(6-(4-phenoxyphenoxy)naphthalen-2-yl)-1,3-dioxan-5-amine (Example 244) in 87% yield using 2,2-dimethyl-5-nitro-5-(6-(4-(pentyloxy)phenoxy)naphthalen-2-yl)-1,3-dioxane as starting material.
