Reaction Steps

The mixture of tert-butyl {4-[({2-[5-(diphenylmethyl)-2-oxo-1(2H)-pyridinyl]ethyl}amino)carbonyl]-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-1-yl}acetate (75 mg) in TFA (2.1 mL) was stood at ambient temperature for 1 hour. The resulting mixture was evaporated in vacuo and was added saturated NaHCO3 aqueous solution (5.0 mL). The aqueous solution was extracted with chloroform (10 mL). The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over anhydrous MgSO4, filtered and evaporated in vacuo to afford {4-[({2-[5-(diphenylmethyl)-2-oxo-1(2H) -pyridinyl]ethyl}amino)carbonyl]-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-1-yl}acetic acid (45 mg) as an yellow amorphous.
