tert-butyl 1-(4-nitrophenylsulfonyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-3-ylcarbamate (4.12 g, 9.50 mmol) and palladium on carbon (10% w/w, 0.41 g) in methanol was stirred in an hydrogen atmosphere at room temperature for 18 hours. After filtering through a Celite (10 g) and evaporating to dryness the residue was dried under vacuum overnight to give tert-butyl 1-(4-aminophenylsulfonyl)1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-3-ylcarbamate.
