Procedure
1,6-Bis(trichlorosilyl)-3,3,4,4-tetrafluorohexane (1 g, 2.35 mmol) and acetic anhydride (4 mL) were added to a 10 mL air-free flask. The reaction solution was stirred at 80° C. for 5 hours. After all the volatiles were removed (120° C. at 5 mtorr), 1.24 g (2.20 mol) of the product were obtained with a yield of 99.6%. 1H NMR (400 Mz, CDCl3): δ 2.4 (m, 4H), 1.3 (m, 4H). 29Si NMR (79.6 Mz, CDCl3): −45.3 (s). 19F NMR (CDCl3): −114.6 (t, J=13 Hz, 4F).
