Reaction Steps
To a solution of the compound of Example 217 (0.118 g, 0.5 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (10 mL) was added triethylamine (0.14 mL, 1.0 mmol), benzoyl chloride (70 μL, 0.6 mmol) and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (12 mg). The reaction was stirred at RT for 16 h, diluted with water, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The extracts were washed with 0.04 N HCl, sat NaHCO3, brine, dried (MgSo4) and concentrated to afford the title compound. The crude product was purified by recrystallization from ethyl acetate/hexanes to afford the title compound as fluffy white crystals (0.129 g, 76%). m.p. 185°-187° C.
