Ethyl N-(4-ethoxycarbonylphenyl)formimidate (Example Ia) (6.7 g, 0.03 mol) and n-butyl 4-methylaminobenzoate (6.2 g, 0.03 mol) were heated at 190° until 1.7 ml of ethanol had been collected by distillation. The solid mass which resulted upon cooling was recrystallized from hexane to yield the product, mp 83°-85° C. ##STR13##
