By the procedure of Example 18, reacting 3-[(2aminoethyl)thiomethyl]pyrazole with dimethyl-N-cyanoimidodithiocarbonate and reacting the resulting N-cyano-N'[2-(3-pyrazolylmethylthio)ethyl]-S-methylisothiourea with ammoniacal ethanol gives N-cyano-N'-[2-(3-pyrazolylmethylthio)ethyl]guanidine.
