A mixture of 2-methyl-6-[(3R)-3-[(2S)-2-methylpyrrolidin-1-yl]pyrrolidin-1-yl]-3-nitro-pyridine (2 g, 6.89 mmol) and 10% Pd/C (200 mg) in ethanol (40 mL) was shaken on a parr shaken under 50 psi H2 for 18 h. The reaction mixture was filtered through a celite pad and concentrated to afford a dark red oil which was then purified by flash column chromatography (10% MeOH/CH2Cl2) to afford 580 mg (32% yield) of the title compound as an oil.
