Trifluoroacetic acid (20 mL) was added to 2-[(5S)-3-(2,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-2-oxo-5-(propan-2-yl)imidazolidin-1-yl]-N-[6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-yl]acetamide (900 mg), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hr. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure, and saturated sodium hydrogen carbonate was added thereto, followed by extraction with chloroform. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by column chromatography (silica gel cartridge, hexane/ethyl acetate) to afford the title compound (310 mg).
