3.5 g (17 mmol) of 3-hydroxy-4-trifluoromethyl-benzoic acid (prepared as described in WO 2006/128184) were dissolved in 35 ml of acetic acid anhydride and heated to reflux for 3 h. 60 ml of water were added and heating to reflux was continued for 10 min. After cooling and stirring overnight, the formed precipitate was collected by suction and dried to give 3.0 g of the title compound.
