6-(Furan-2-yl)-5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazin-3-amine (100 mg, 35%) was prepared from 6-bromo-5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazin-3-amine (0.3 g, 1.19 mmol) and 2-furanboronic acid (0.16 g, 1.428 mmol) according to the general procedure of Example 1.
