Reaction Steps
The title compound is prepared from 5-cyano-1H-imidazole-2-carboxylic acid [2-(4,4-dimethyl-cyclohex-1-enyl)-4-(1-hydroxy-4-oxo-cyclohexyl)-phenyl]-amide (as prepared in Example 21) and dimethylamine (solution in THF) using NaBH(OAc)3 according to literature procedure (J. Org. Chem., 61, 3849-62 (1996)).
