Reaction Steps
The title compound is prepared from 4-cyano-1H-imidazole-2-carboxylic acid [2-(4,4-dimethyl-cyclohex-1-enyl)-4-(4-oxo-cyclohexyl)-phenyl]-amide (as prepared in Example 23) and diethylamine using NaBH(OAc)3 according to literature procedure (J. Org. Chem., 61, 3849-62 (1996)).
