The methyl ester of the title compound is prepared from {(S)-6-[(R)-7-fluoro-4-hydroxy-indan-1-yloxy]-2,3-dihydro-benzofuran-3-yl}-acetic acid methyl ester and 2-fluoro-5-trifluoromethoxy-benzonitrile following a procedure analogous to that described for Intermediate 12. The title compound is obtained after saponification of the methyl ester as described for Example 1. LC (method 2): tR=1.16 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=530 [M+H]+.
