4-[(4-{[(4-Isobutoxy-1,2-benzisoxazol-3-yl)oxy]methyl}piperidin-1-yl)methyl]tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ol (34.0 mg, 0.0812 mmol, EXAMPLE 8, step 5) was dissolved in ethyl acetate (approximately 0.3 mL). To this solution was added a solution of p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate (21.7 mg, 0.11 mmol) in ethyl acetate (2 mL) at room temperature. After being stirred for 30 min, resulting white precipitate was filtered and washed with ethyl acetate to afford 45 mg (93%) of the title compound as a white powdery solid.
